Botto Studio LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates ReadySet, a family routine management application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address - Required for authentication and account recovery
  • Name - Used for display within the app
  • Authentication credentials - Managed securely through Firebase Authentication

1.2 Child Profile Information

When parents create child profiles, we collect only:

  • First name - For display within the household
  • Avatar selection - Optional visual identifier
  • Color preference - For UI differentiation

We do not collect email addresses, birthdates, or other identifying information from children.

1.3 Usage Information

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service:

  • Events and tasks created
  • Task completion history
  • Stickers earned and placed
  • Feature usage patterns
  • App navigation and session data

1.4 Device Information

We collect device information to provide and improve the Service:

  • Device type and model
  • Operating system and version
  • App version
  • Device identifiers for push notifications
  • Time zone settings

1.5 Push Notification Data

If you enable push notifications, we collect:

  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token
  • Notification preferences and quiet hours settings

1.6 Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive:

  • Subscription status (active, expired, trial)
  • Subscription type and expiration date
  • Transaction identifiers (not payment card details)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the ReadySet service
  • Sync your data across devices and with household members
  • Send push notifications for events, reminders, and task updates
  • Process and manage your subscription
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ReadySet. Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data:

3.1 Firebase (Google)

3.2 RevenueCat

3.3 Cloudflare

Our backend infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers, with data stored in Cloudflare D1 (database) and R2 (images). Cloudflare Privacy Policy

3.4 PostHog

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how users interact with the app. PostHog Privacy Policy

3.5 Apple Push Notification service (APNs)

We use Apple's push notification service to deliver notifications to iOS devices. Apple Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption in transit - All data transmitted using TLS/HTTPS
  • Encryption at rest - Data encrypted on Cloudflare servers
  • Secure authentication - Passwords and tokens managed by Firebase
  • Access controls - Parent codes hashed with salt, never stored in plaintext
  • Secure local storage - Sensitive data stored in iOS Keychain

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

  • With your household - Other parents you invite can see household data including child profiles, events, and progress
  • With service providers - Third-party services listed above that help us operate the app
  • For legal compliance - When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights
  • Business transfers - In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

ReadySet is designed for family use with children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and take children's privacy seriously:

6.1 Parental Control

  • Only parents can create accounts and child profiles
  • Children cannot create their own accounts
  • All child data is managed and controlled by parents
  • Parents can view, edit, and delete all child data

6.2 Minimal Data Collection

  • We collect only first names for child profiles
  • No email addresses or passwords for children
  • No precise location data
  • No social media integration for children

6.3 No Advertising

  • No third-party advertising is shown to children
  • No behavioral advertising or tracking for ad purposes
  • No data sold to advertisers

6.4 Parent Code Protection

  • Settings and administrative functions are protected by a parent code
  • Children cannot modify household settings or profiles
  • Failed code attempts result in temporary lockout

6.5 Parental Rights

Parents have the right to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information. Contact us at privacy@readyset.do to exercise these rights.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Correction

You can access and update your account information directly in the app through Settings. For child profiles, parents can edit all information.

7.2 Data Deletion

You can delete your account through the app settings. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data, including:

  • Your user profile
  • All child profiles you created
  • All events, tasks, and sticker data
  • All household data (if you are the owner)

7.3 Push Notifications

You can disable push notifications through your device settings or customize notification preferences within the app.

7.4 Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of analytics tracking by adjusting your device's privacy settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy > Analytics.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. When you delete your account:

  • Personal data is deleted within 30 days
  • Backup data is purged within 90 days
  • We may retain certain data as required by law

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA):

  • Right to Know - Request what personal information we collect
  • Right to Delete - Request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to Non-Discrimination - We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights
  • Do Not Track - We do not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals

10. International Users

ReadySet is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date
  • Sending an email notification to your registered email address
  • Displaying a notice within the app

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
